Welcome to Iota Eta

presidentGreetings from the Illustrious Iota Eta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! Since it’s beginning on January 15, 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has been intent on providing the needs for improvement of not only America’s African-American community, but the entire human race. With well over 200,000 college-trained members worldwide, we are consistently eliminating barriers and rebuilding ways for people to obtain a better quality of life.

Over the past 34 years and counting, the Iota Eta Chapter has been building a legacy that will never be forgotten. We are always striving for the best in our community and encourage others to do the same. Whether we are uplifting the spirits of children at the local Ronald McDonald House or Children’s Hospital, helping clean up the Ocmulgee River, informing other students about current issues, or raising money for our new scholarship fund, we are always determined to find the best ways to help any and everyone we can.

We are a strong sisterhood of members who acknowledge the fact that by building each other up, we create a strength in ourselves that will last a lifetime.  We are excited for you to peruse our pages, being sure to look not only at the things we have done but also at our planned upcoming events. If you live in the Macon area we have weekly programs that are aimed to benefit Mercer students as well as individuals from the Macon community. We look forward to having you at our events, programs, and service endeavors.

With that said, feel free to sign our guestbook and enjoy the site!
