RUF Mercer has been reaching students for Christ and equipping students to serve for over 30 years. We are a community for the convinced and unconvinced to come and consider the truth claims of Christianity, build deep relationships, and be prepared to live out a life of faith for the rest of their lives.

Andrew Burckhalter

Andrew Burckhalter

Campus Assistant

I graduated from the Citadel with a mechanical engineering degree in 2019. I came to know Jesus as a freshman at the Citadel and ever since then, the Lord has really moved my heart toward college students. After graduating, I served in the US Air Force from 2019 to 2023 as an F-15 Structural Repair engineer. I came on staff as a Campus Assistant in January 2024. I'm beginning seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. I'm stoked to get to love and serve Mercer's students through RUF!
